Brewed only once a year, Hanseatic Merchants is a New England style DIPA with a winter-inspired twist… it’s conditioned on fresh Spruce Tips! When brewing up the fluffy IPA base for this beer we, ever so slightly, increased the sweetness and bitterness to help amplify the spruce flavors. We then Double Dry Hopped with Ahtanum+Chinook+Motueka - hops we believe to perfectly compliment and round out the piney notes of the spruce. Pouring a vibrant orange color, we’re finding aromas and flavors of juicy blueberries, lemon-lime skittles, fresh pine resin, and sweet, sweet Christmas.
