Even at 8.5%, Lucky You is an exercise in simplicity. It begins with a light, approachable grist — pilsen malt with just enough flaked oats and Epiphany malted oats. From there, it’s all one hop: almighty Citra. Citra in the kettle, Citra during the whirlpool, and finally massive Citra dry-hops.
As usual, we find this pale-hued beer emitting deep, vibrant notes of melon, papaya, mango, and sweet orange citrus. You couldn’t make a safer bet.

$4.10 pint can, WW. Murky pale gold with a soft white head. Pot, pine, pineapple, orange peel, basement nose. Basement, pot, pine, resin, grapefruit peel, tropical fruit undertones, dough.

Draught at the source: pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruitiness. Taste is sweet. Low bitterness. Good but not exciting.

A hazed milky yellow ipa with a thin white head. In aroma, loads of citrus pulp, resinous and piney hops, light mineral notes, nice and fruity. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with loads of citrusy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, doughy character, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at brewery.

Pours a hazy, light banana-lemon yellow, with mid-sized, rapidly dissipating head. Aroma has a lot of dankness/sour washcloth to it. Some hints of citrus and tropical fruit. Flavor is fairly smooth, with tropical fruit, slight sweetness, just a touch of hop bitterness to the finish. It's not bad, but not particularly distinguished either...

4 oz pour on draft at Ocelot. Hazy yellow with off-white head. Aromas of floral, tropical fruit, citrus. Tastes of tropical fruit, stone fruit, floral. Medium body with a dry finish.

Draft pour at Ocelot. Poured a hazy yellow color, bright. With a small, off-white head. Wow. Super smooth and juicy. Excellent use of Citra in this (based on the menu). Juicy. Super soft and creamy. Really good.
