From my brother and drank at a bottleshare: pours dark copper/amber with a beige head. Aroma is loads of malts. Bitter, boozy. Makes your head tingle. Booolp.

On tap at Vermont Tap House. Williston, VT.
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a dark red/burnt brown color. Slim white colored little head quickly dissipates.
The smell takes in some piney/citrus hops over top of the normal \"dry tobacco/leafy\" to caramel/toffee malts.
The taste, pretty much copies the smell, right on par. Definitely the normal dry aftertaste and quick dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sipping quality about it. Carbonation sits fairly low allowing the tobacco dryness to hit decently on my tongue.
Overall, for the most part, it’s a good barleywine, but American or English, hmmm...I’m kinda left scratching my beard to what style this one leans to. Still, I think I could have again.
