Cask at Crate Brewery in Hackney, London on 13 July 2013. Poured a dark brown with almost no head. Aroma of light chocolate and roasted malt, slight funk that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Flavours of malt sweetness with some cakey and some coffee and burnt bitterness on the palate.

Gravity cask at the Strongroom London beer fest. Pours dark brown with no head. Burnt bread in the nose, some milk chocolate. Light to medium sweet flavor, some sticky chocolate, mellow roast, light dirt, toast. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Sweet dark bread to finish, a bit more cocoa, faint roast, some burnt meat. Decent though the condition could be a lot better.
