Alouette is a Sour Saison in collaboration with Brasserie Dunham. We used several hundred pounds of fresh High Bush Cranberries which provide a juicy, acidic tartness.

(Tap sample @ MBCC 2017 Red Session, Copenhagen) Pours hazy peach with a white head. Notes of tart vegetal berries/rhubarb, berry skin, soapy florals, butyric acid, overripe funk, touch of sweet malt, moderate lactic tartness, dry somewhat sour and funky finish. Kind of thin watery mouthfeel with low carbonation. The character is weird here, highbush cranberries are an odd addition but the runaway raunchy acid profile doesn't help things. If that was under control it would be better, but this is disappointing from two good breweries.
