Black with a foaming, beige head. Aroma is a mix of toffee—slightly burnt—coffee grounds, cherries, and toast. Roasted bitter with both fruity and caramel sweet undertones. Carbonation is a mess, way overdone for the style. Slightly oily, feels sparkling rather than smooth. Definitely needs some time in the glass. Ok.

440ml can. Jet black colour with huge, frothy, osteoporosing, tan head. Intense, roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of coffee, mocha, roasted coffee beans, hints of dark chocolate, couverture, minimally grassy, hoppy overtones, some fudge. Taste is bitter, roasty, dark malty and bitter, slightly grassy hoppy, notes of coffee, mocha, dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, a touch of roasted nuts. Full body, oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft carbonation. Rich and intense - good.
