Keg at Warsaw Beer Festival, 08/04/17. Mahogany brown topped with a decent light tan swirl. Nose is rum barrel, banana bread, fruit loaf, light spice, boozey exhaust, toffee. Taste comprises burnt brown sugars, toffee, dates, nutty tang, Rum Baba, caramel melt, light spice, fruit cake mix, mellow barrel. Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a rising kiss of alcohol. A really solid barley wine ... great balance to this one.

Bottle 500ml. @ home. [ As Faktoria Alcatraz Rum BA ].Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, dried fruit, candy, rum, dates, figs, wood, oak, alcohol - sweet alcohol - rum. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, alcohol - rum, candy, dried fruit, wood, dates, figs. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is falt, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20171110] 8-3-8-4-15

Tap WBF6. Reddish-yellow color. Aroma: sweet and malty, candied fruits and raisins with rum. Taste: sweet, dessert wine, raisins, pie, rum or brandy.

Keg at the Warsaw beer fest. Pours clear, full ruby-brown with a lasting, creamy khaki head. Fair bit of toasted wood in the nose, leathery berries, toasted bread, fruitcake. Medium to heavy sweet our with nips of toasted coconut, more wood, leathery berries, toffee and caramel. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine to average carboantion. Sticky and warming in the finish, with further woody noes, toast, some dryness, more berries, toasted caramel. Prominent wood character. Enjoyable in small doses.

Keg at the Warsaw beer fest 2017. 08/04/2017. A hazed nut brown mahogany brown coloured pour with a small beige. Aroma is toffee fudge brown sugars, little dried fruit and coconut. Vanilla. Flavour is composed of medium sweet smooth cakey malts, fudge cake, woody raisin, vanilla, Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation. Sticky. Nice balance.
