Can from the brewery. Jet.black, large brown head. Loads of pasty notes, vanilla, big roast, but it's soft, and a touch sweet. Silky mouth feel, silky carb. Coffee is upfront, but soft, and very complimentary to the roast, pastry and vanilla notes.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral coffee notes with a nice amount of roasted flavours and sweet notes is quite pleasant. Taste is a good mix of roasted malt with some floral coffee notes with some residual sugar notes and limited bitterness. Body is full for style with good carbonation. Solid coffee flavored beer.

(Can) clear, bright, very dark brown colour with a medium tall brown head; aroma of roast, jam, chocolate; intense, balanced flavour with a long, medium bitter sweet finish, slightly creamy palate
