375mL bottle, pours a fairly clear pale golden, with a tiny, rapidly-diminishing white head. Aroma brings out lots of sparkling white wine, crisp white berry skins, and a touch of champagne-like effervescence. Flavour is along the same lines, with crisp, tart berry skins, white wine, and a touch of champagne-like funk. Gently tart, lightly acidic, with a pleasant funk. Not the most complex Burdock beer, but this is great.

(375ml bottle c/o Herbalist, thanks!) Pours nearly clear gold with a small white head and no lace. Aroma is definitely adjacent to oaky Riesling, with candied lemon, soft peach, smooth white wine, touch of tannin, acidic pale berries (not explicitly sea buckthorn), quite some decent oak, some minerality, moderate earthy funk. Flavour is moderately tart and lightly sweet, wine-adjacent for sure; soft and zesty lemon, soft stone fruit, the mineral saline bite of sea buckthorn, wet rock, hay-like funk not out of line with natural wine, oak is pretty soft compared to the nose, drying in the finish, lingering lemon/orange fruity bite and minerality. Light bodied but slick and almost oily, near-flat. Very smooth, not overly complex nor simple, with good quenching balance from the adjuncts. Tasty.

375ml (thx, Jacob B.!) @ home. Appearance: a bit hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma: funky, barrel, fruity. Taste: along the same lines with salty notes. Overall: pretty good and pleasant, however, I liked the original version better.

Bottle: Poured a very pale yellow ale with a medium size foamy head with limited retention and light lacing. Aroma of oak and tart notes with some salty notes also perceptible. Taste is also a mix of salty notes with some tart notes with oak presence also detectable, vinous notes are harder to distinguish that I was expecting. Body is light with strong carbonation. A bit disappointed by the lack of cohesion between the flavours.
