Draft. A deep red beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and berries. The flavor is sweet with citrusy notes of hops combined with lighter notes of caramel and bread, leading to a dry and bready finish.

A reddish brown ale with a thick moka head. In aroma, a nice nutty malt overlayed with pinhey hops. In mouth, a light nutty brown ale with fruity notes, very light and watery. On tap at brewpub, August 27 2009.

On tap. Slightly hazy reddish brown with an off-white head. Fairly sweet aroma of roasted malt and a little nuts. Quite full-bodied with a sweet base of roasted malt and burned caramel - perhaps a whiff of pumpernickel also. Quite bockish really. No real bitterness. 130709

From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark amber to brown with a small tan head. Aroma is light hops fruity, distinct roasted malt too. Roasted caramelish malt flavoured with a light hoppy fruity note. Light spiced touch. Lingering roasted caramel malt finish, towards breadish.

Draft at the brewpub. Dark reddish brown color with a beige head. Aromas of roast malt and hop spicyness. Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is mild roast caramel and floral hop - a bit sweetish - finishes a bit like the doppelbock.
