Draft. Rich mahogony beer with a nice light tan head. Light oak, light wine aroma with light malt and light hops - more subtle than I would have thought. Big chardonnay flavor with malt, a light woodsiness, and some hops (though much less than what I would expect from Hop Rod Rye). Medium-plus bodied. Chardonna, oak, and malt linger. Hops not as present.

Draft at the brewpub. Dark amber color with a slight white head. Aroma is rather grapey and mildly sour. Full bodied with mild carbonation. Flavor is rather vinous mixed with slight sour. Oaky as well. Not a Flanders sour, nor a Russian River brett, but a departure for American craft beer. Very pleasing.
