2008 vintage sampled at the brewhouse. Pours a transparent brown/amber with zero head. The aroma is pretty wild, booze, raspberry, apple. Flavor is fruity, malty, very sweet. Hot, boozy finish. Very unique and unlike other dopples. Not very malt forward.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a clear dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a sweet malty caramel and dark fruit aroma. Sweetish malty caramel and dark fruit flavor. Has a sweetish malty finish.

(10/28/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Santa Rosa. 8.7%. Dark amber-brown color. Aroma of malt, sufganiyah (a jewish kind of doughnut) and some cookie dough. Malty sweet flavor with sufganiyah and caramel. Medium-bodied. Tastes too much like a sufganiyah.

Draft at the alehouse. Near opaque brown color with minimal tan head. Rich malty aroma with some floral aspects. Medium plus body with firm carbonation. Flavor starts with a rush of dark fruits. Even dark berries. Finishes towards dry though malt lingers. One heck of a drink on a cold day. It cut the black in the black and blue burger.
