Our flagship beer since 1992. Citrus and pine aromas harmonize with lightly toasted malts to produce the original India Pale Ale of Mt. Hood.

Draft. A copper colored beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as a light touch of hops. The flavor is sweet with grassy notes of hops combined with notes of caramel - making it very refreshing.

Draft. Hazy amber beer with a whitish head. Fruity (tropical, grapefruit( aroma. Grapefruit and tropical fruit flavor with caramel backing. Fruit lingers with plenty of bittering. medium body. Somewhat astringent (or else it would have been much better).

Amber with small beige head.Lt malt hop nose. Decent malt profile, far too few hops, lacks carbonation. Not an IPA

On Tap At Kells Portland OR pours out a nice amber topped with a off white head. Not much of a hop aroma for a IPA.

Copper colour. Fresh grain aroma. Spritzy carbonation. Brown sugar, syrupy malts, light hops, light toast. Thereβs a bit of anise in the finish, but overall itβs a light, sweetish IPA.

Sampled this on tap at the Portland Brewing Co.βs Portland airport pizza pub, 7 August 2004. Copper/amber body, thin off-white head. Light hoppy aroma (stop serving microbrews so cold!). Flavor was bitter and piney, and the flavors were rather undifferentiated, improving upon warming to reveal grapefruit and caramel. Medium-bodied.
