Keg, I seem to recall, at the Fat Cat Brewery Tap Norwich, 16/02/17. Light black with a decent tan head. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, light hop tingle, liquorice, spice, biscuit. Taste comprises bitter chocolate, coffee grinds, light smoke, aniseed, fruit rinds, rasins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a hoppy check out. Decent flavoursome stout.

Cask @ Smithfield Market Tavern, Manchester. Black with an off-white creamy head. Has healthy tasting roasted malts in both aroma and taste, it’s clean tasting too.

Opaque black color, small beige head. Light coffeish aroma. Light-bodied. A bit malty toasted flavor. Finish is watery. Coffee notes. Ok light dry stout.

Cask at tap east. A dark mahogany brown coloured pout with a thin mid tan head. Aroma is rustic chocolate, burnt earth, semi sweet chocolate powder and a whisper of smoke. Palate is milky, medium bodied, semi sweet, lowish carbonation. Flavour is composed of bitter dark choc, earthy roast, milk chocolate, tangy woodland berry. Good porter.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet Easter BF 2016. Black beer lasting tan head. Molasses chocolate. Sark syrup. A dark syrupy stout. Some liquorice. Juicy tar. Dates prunes. Blackcurrant. Ok. I quite like a juicy stout rather than a dry one. Ok I thought.
