This West Coast inspired IPA pours blood red from the addition of beet juice and is dry hopped with Chinook, Summit, and Simcoe. The aroma presents light pine, and woody notes. Upon sipping the drinker is greeted by the familiar flavor of hop bitterness present in this style, along with sappy pine, and hoppy spiciness that rides a subtle undercurrent of citrus. HELL FLOWER clocks in 6.66% Alc by volume and drinks easily with a medium dry body.

Can shared by AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Hazy amber-reddish hue with light sparkle, thin head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma is pine and florals with mild earthy fruit. Initial piney bitter and malts, late fruit. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and dry, crisp, lightly bitter finish. It accomplishes what it sets out to do but, aside from the cool factor of the red from the beets, a dry, West Coast IPA that is piney and bitter. Meh.

16 oz can. Aroma has pine hops with a hint of citrus and caramel. The malts stick out more in the flavor. Caramel sweetness is upfront with the soft hops of pine and citrus in the background. Pine / resin lingering bitterness. Overall, not sure why the West Coast style is showing up so much lately. Well made but not my style.
