Monkey Face is a dry stout with an opaque, black appearance. This full-bodied beer has a roasted coffee flavor with an underlying creaminess and features a generous tan head with excellent retention. Monkey Face is near and dear to our hearts because we brew it as a memorial tribute to our beloved mother, Jane, who our uncles called "monkey face" when she was growing up.

4 oz draft. Aroma and flavor are a copy. Caramel, chocolate, coffee. Body and texture are very respectable for a dry stout at such a low alcohol by volume.

12 ounce can. Barely translucent dark brown color. Dense frothy tan head. Clinging lace. Roasted malt aroma. Some earthy coffee notes. Flavor follows nose. Roasted malt, brewed coffee, a hint of dark chocolate and some dark corn syrup. Sticky mouthfeel. Brief roasted malt finish.
