Bourbon Barrel Aged Blended Strong Ale with Single Origin Cacao Nibs - Most beers we brew are done with 100% intentionality, but occasionally, something serendipitous happens. When we transferred our barleywine, A Life Well Lived, to barrels, we didn't have enough to completely fill the second barrel, so we blended it with an Imperial Stout we had on hand. The blend of beers, along with 22 months spent in a single Heaven Hill barrel, transformed the liquid into a completely different and singular beer. Post-barrel aging, we conditioned the beer on Single Origin Ecuadorian Cacao Nibs from Ethereal Confections, for a decadent, dense beer worthy of a celebration.
