Our annual Holiday ode to hop gluttony. The spirit of giving is alive and well in this double IPA, with hops from the Pacific Northwest, New Zealand, and Australia bestowing their worldly gifts of flavor to an all-Maine grain bill fluffier than fresh snow. Drippy, saturated-ly tropical, and generously dank. ‘Tis the season – Rejoice!

16oz can from Tavour. Thick, hazy orange/golden pour, initial foamy head fades to silky ring. Muted fruity aroma with notes of stone fruit and citrus, dank. Taste amps up quickly, big fruity flavors and a healthy dollop of citrus zest. Creamy,

Can from Tavour. Pours hazy orange tinged gold with a large foamy off-white head. Aroma is very tropical, quite fruity, with light touch of weed. Med plus body. Juicy but quite bitter. Flavor is orange, pine, white grape and more. Excellent.

I get little to no nose on the aroma, but with a gorgeous color and creamy white head. The beer has a great mouthfeel and is super smooth. Unfortunately, I don't get much in the way of flavor. Maybe its just this can, but this does not do it for me.

Can at home. Lovely thick pulpy orange beverage with smallish head nose is rich tropical fruits, pungent citrus and piney notes. Tastes herbal, pine, orange zest, pineapple, grassy. Chewy palate. Delectable

Can (no date) pour from trade with AirForceHops--thanks for the opportunity. Opaque orange juice with light sparkle, unfortunate large black chunks of sediment, fluffy head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is strong tropical fruit, musty grape, citrus and hint of alcohol (dissipates as it sits). Taste is strong tropical fruit, citrus, dank element but alcohol is evident (less as it sits/warms). Frothy texture, average carbonation, fairly thin, alcohol astringency. Some great hops in here that make their presence felt but not enough to counteract the alcohol. Hop fall off in the two months since AFH's rating? Strong possibility. With no date on the can, no way of knowing how old this is.

16 oz can. Aroma is pine with a bold floral character. Floral carries into the flavor with pine, and herbal bitterness to balance the malt. Strong hop profile, but also shows a little bit of alcohol. Bold and danky.

Pours a hazy, banana-orange smoothie color, with smallish head. Aroma is a rather muted combo of citrus and tropical fruits. Flavor is a more powerful combo of the same--citrus and tropical fruit--with a healthy level of hoppy bitterness as well. Very nice, soft, full mouthfeel. Love it!***Believe it or not, I think I rated this too low at an original 4 stars. This is one of the (if not the) best beers these guys have made.***Re-rating on 1/25/21
