Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: rustic amber to red in color with some transparency closer to the edges of the glass; two finger white foamy head dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: toasted grains, caramel/toffee malts and some grassy hops? Hmmm...maybe but the hops do seem fairly distant in this one
Flavor: leans towards the sweet side bringing the grains and malts as once again the hops seem so faded, are they even there? well, okay, the finish is malty and that's about it for the finish just malty
Texture: light to medium bodied with some sessionability about it; pretty smooth all along the tongue
Overall: despite an absence of hops throughout, yes, I get it - it's an American styled red ale but well, with other American red ales I've had before those had some kind of hoppy balance to them. This one, well, I was hoping for something that would balance those malts, that's all I'm asking.

16 oz can. Light amber, somewhat translucent. Aroma of malt and yeast. Taste of roasted grain, and a light citrus hop finish. A nice creamy mouthfeel that makes it easy to drink. I knew this would be a very boring beer. And it met my expectation.
