Canes Storm Brew from total wine in Cary. Pale yellowy tint with a thin white head, as poured from a cheap pounder can. Smells like cheap fresh pale american lager, no ill nose here. Yes, nice cutting co2 up front. Taste is very mild and friendly, better than expected. Many craft brewers who try to make a decent pale lager usually fail. But I cannot pick out any ill effects on this one, its just a simple refreshing beer. Goes down very easy and is nifty to enjoy. Good stuff with a satisfying attitude. Could easily drink a few of these with no problem. I shouldah couldah woodah bought a six pack of these. Beats the pants off of most macro pale lagers and most craft brewers can't make this claim about their pale lagers. Good stuff R&D; thanks. I'm liking this. Drank this pounder can in no time! Fun. Quite refined for a cheap pale lager. I'd put this up against straubs anyday! Reminds me a bit of Wiedemann's Black Cat Light.

2 month old pint can A: Poured a washed out pale yellow with a short, fast fizzling head. S: Very light with bready sweetness and tart mildly vinous fruity hops. T: Follows the nose except malts are dry AND sweet. Just enough mild apple and hay hops to play along. Only faint sweetness lingers. M: Light, thin, spritzy, clean and dry as expected. O: A nice decently tasty crusher. Expected to dislike but actually found this quite acceptable.
