Pour is a dark amber almost brown with a small white head. Aroma is toffee and coffee. Flavor is coffee with a very nice dark bread. Finish is a nice hit of bitterness. Very rich dark malt give off lots of coffee vibes. This was a tasty English winter warmer.

From a can, off pale near brown tint. First swig is off chocolate peaty malty thing. Perhaps the nose of a malt mil beverage. Not as many spices in here as with most holiday brews. That boozy peaty malty thing does come across a little cloying. Smooth, yet annoying to a certain extent. In the middle, I think it's going farmy on me. Smoother fine detectable co2 level. In the end I find the session finish a little difficult. Better than most holiday brews. Good for a tick.
