Gose is a traditional German beer that is brewed to be sour and salty, like a jaded taxi driver, only tastier. This kettle-soured delight is a feast for the senses. Pink, but a manly dark pink, this beer beckons the drinker in with a visual siren’s call. Hints of coriander and lactobacillus (the sour stuff) waft to the nose. U.S. Beer Open (USA 2017)

Tap at the Ho Chi Minh brewpub. Poured a hazy dark pink colour with a round bubbly white head. The aroma is fruity, light biscuit yeast, some spice. The flavour is moderate to light sour with a smooth, crisp, refreshing, fruit palate and a light sweet, salty finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Dragon fruit Gose 5.5% A lovely grapefruit pink with a big lactic fruity yoghurt aroma. Tart, lactic, fruit yoghurt with some chive sour cream notes. It makes me want to have a baked potato. Delicious.
