Keeper’s Gold is a smooth, burnished golden ale with a buoyant aroma of grapefruit, citrus, and spice. Its unmistakeable hoppy notes are finely balanced with a simple, yet effective, malt profile, and a subtle infusion of Hurstpierpoint honey.

We brew our golden ale in celebration of the long history of apiculture (bee-keeping) along the foot of the South Downs and are proud to say that we now use our own honey from our hives here on the farm when possible or source locally in Hurstpierpoint.

Gravicask at The 14th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival 2022, Marquee Bar. Shared with Finn. Bright amber body, dotted spots on the glass, minimal white head. Moderate honeyed fruity aromas. Honeyed fruits to the taste buds, as well. Mid-sweet malty backbone. Drying close. Satisfying. (Nottingham 13.10.2022).

Cask (gravity) @ [ EBF21 2015 ], 21th Egham Beer Festival, Egham United Services Club (EUSC), 111 Spring Rise, Egham, Surrey, England TW20 9PE. [ As Hurst Keeper's Gold ].Clear medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, light to moderate hoppy, fruity hops, UK yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, fruity, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150807] 5-3-6-3-13

Bradford Beer Festival 2015. Clear deeper copper coloured with a small bubbly head. Has a sugary-hop nose with some spice and some sweetness in its taste. Has a low to medium bitterness.
