ABV: 5.5%. Unclear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, sweet malt, nutty, tart - sour - earthy, earthy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light acidic with a long duration, tart - sour - earthy, sweet malt, nutty, earthy. Dodgy condition. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20171014]

Cask half pint at the Fountain Inn, Gloucester. Reddish brown colour, small white head. Moderate malty aroma, some earthy hops. Malty flavour with some unexpected roasty and woody notes, also a good helping of very earthy English hops. The bitterness is far from extreme though. Dry finish. Too woody for me.

Cask at the Clapton Hart, 05/04/15. Clear golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is caramel, biscuit, straw, earthy hops, melon, light bread notes. Taste comprises melon, bread dough, biscuit malt, caramel, straw, faint citric peel. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok ESB.

Cask at the Hare and Billet, Blackheath. Amber pour with a white head. Caramel and wet moss aroma. Flavours of pepper, burnt toffee, herbs. Didn’t inspire me that much first of all but seemed to improve as it went along. A grower.

Cask-conditioned at the Bank Tavern, Bristol 20/3/2015. Deep copper in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Sweetish, cereal malts and hedgerow fruits, with a hint of strawberry and lingering, bitter finish. Good.
