Reviewed from notes.
Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: dark ruddy amber color with a quarter finger of off-white frothy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: caramel/toffee malts, light earthy tones, freshly cut grass, touch of herbal tones and a little bit of molasses down in there
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine malty sweet to earthy sweet quality; finishes the same way
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness in a semi-herbal to earthy sort of way which provides a little bit of earthy brisk nicks to the tongue
Overall: mostly a good Scottish ale I think I could come back to.

Pours clear, dark mahogany into a tulip. Tan head with medium retention recedes leaving trailing sheets to coat surface. Sweet caramel aromas. Soft with caramel, molasses and toast from front to back.

16 oz. Can. Aroma of malty toffee and dark dried fruits. Flavor is sweet toffee malt. Hints plums and dark fruits, perhaps currants. Rich and malty as expected. Well made.

Can (9/27/21) pour from trade with AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! It's a lightly hazy, honey-brown with light sparkle, finger-width ephemeral fizzy beige head with no lacing. Aroma is nice mix of caramel, apple cider and pale malts. Taste follows aroma. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, decent complexity for the style.
