For us draft. Flavor shows mild coffee, roasted malt, barley. Flavor is about right for the style. Smooth texture. About what you would expect to find.

Nitro sample at the brewpub. Brown-black color with a medium creamy beige head that diminishes gradually to a dense film. Patchy lacing. Aroma of roast malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate and mild coffee. The finish is roasty with a creamy and chocolatey aftertaste. Decent overall.

From tap. Pours pitch black with a small, creamy and brown head. Aroma is roasted malty. Dark roasted. Bitter. Rather dry and roasted malty. Bone dry and bitter finish.

At the source: pours nitro black with a beige head. Aroma is light coffee and minerals. Taste is light roast. Some minor coffee. Smooth and chuggable.
