Bottle (acquired 8/20) from the brewery. It's an opaque black with no discernible sparkle, nice viscosity, ring of beige head and no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted earthy malts, dried earth and barnyard. Taste is strong roasted earthy malts, whiskey and rum, toffee; late dark fruits as it warms. Mouthfeel is full bodied with thick, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, an upgrade over the base. More complexity, particularly in the flavor, though don't love the aroma.

500 ml bottle shared by tfontana. Thanks Tom! Vintage 2020. Side-by-side with the base. Aroma is mellow roast, peat, earthy grain. Decent peated whiskey that hides the bold roasted grains. Body is medium plus with a very slight warming after the sip.
