Can (no date) pour from Table and Vine, W. Springfield. It's an opaque yellow-tinged light brown with light sparkle, finger-width rocky off-white foam head with good retention and tons of soapy lacing. Aroma is strong sweet/tart fruit, caramel malt, brown sugar. Taste is strong caramel malt over sweet/tart fruit combination and booze. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick texture, some alcohol burn, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, hard to get the malt/hop ratio just right when you're ratcheting both up so high for a triple IPA. This one is too far to the malty side and the booziness and alcohol harshness dominate any hop contribution. Maybe at peak freshness but otherwise this drinks almost like a quad or a barley wine.

16 oz. can traded by tfontana. No can date. Aroma is tropical fruit and sweet grain. With the huge green bell it gets pretty sweet. Fruit still does come through a bit but it rides the line of being too sweet for an IPA. Alcohol is pretty hidden. Overall, still well above average. However, I wouldn’t let it sit around too long.
