Can (purchased about a month ago) pour from the brewery. Appearance is opaque black (dark brown at the bottom of the glass) with light sparkle, finger-plus width fizzy light brown head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt (bordering on burnt) and milder peanut. Taste is strong earthy roasted malts, chocolate is more present as it warms and mild peanut. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation with late lively kick and dry, crisp finish as taste. Overall, both chocolate and peanut are a bit muted. On the plus side, that lets the underlying stout poke through. On the negative, as a pastry stout it should have more adjunct flavor. Just OK.

Can from tfontana, thanks again! Dark brown with faint garnet at the edges and a decent sized tightly bubbled tan head. Peanut and bits of chocolate with some earth and roast to counter. Not sickly sweet like some Ive tried, not bad.

16 oz. can in a trade with tfontana, thanks Bud. Aroma a soft chocolate with some roasted malt. Flavor shows at roasted malt backbone, chocolate with a mild peanut in the finish that linger slightly after the sip. Definitely more peanut rather than peanut butter. Still very respectable.
