Can (6/20/20) pour from trade with Johnnieee--thanks, John! Appearance is opaque black with nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width fizzy light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is nice, rich mix of earthy roasted malt, chocolate and vanilla. Taste follows aroma. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, not very complex but a decent representative of the style. Overcarbonated.

16oz can from the source. Pours a dark brown color with a decent sized frothy tan head that persists. Earthy hop and roasted coffee with bits of dried fruits and light sweet bread. Just a hint bigger in body than I was expecting but its a dam flavorful brew.

4 ounce draft at the brewery. Black in color. Mild roast, soft chocolate. Fuggle hops? Very light in body. Old world Irish stout.
