16 ounce can from Whole Foods Charlottesville, 12/23/19. Very hazy orange, large frothy white head, good retention. Aroma of earth, melon, pale malt. Taste is pale malt, grapefruit, toast, mandarin orange. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.

Taster pour on tap at NH Brewfest. Appearance is deeply hazy yellow with no sparkle, thin ring of white head. Aroma is cool, green grape, kiwi. Taste is not as pleasant as aroma. There's a fairly strong malty component, like a dark bread, and mild sweet hoppy fruit but only a light bittering, like the hops and malts are competing to see which is sweeter but not enough bitter balance. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, aroma and flavor are on the mild-to-moderate side but this leans to sweet without enough bitter balance.

Flavor is somewhat balanced. Sweet malt plays nice with notes of citrus and a nice expected pine slap in the finish. Booze mostly hidden. Overall, exactly what I was expecting.

Can from Market Basket. Hazy golden lemon color with a good sized long lasting frothy white head. Lemony citrus and light earthy pine with a restrained sweet bready maltiness. Light grit in the mouthfeel. Pretty nice easy to drink flavorful IPA.
