Draught@HBF2017. Black colour,small brown head. Aroma is smoked malts, some liquorice, ashes and mild toffee. Flavour is wooden, mild roasted and ashy notes along with some herbs and grass.

Draught @ HBF 2017 [ Helsinki Beer Festival 2017 ], Kaapelitehdas, Talberginkatu 1, Helsinki, Finland. [ As Rocking Bear Porkka Portteri ].Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige to light brown head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, light to moderate chocolate and coffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, malt bitter, thin, dark malt, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170407] 7-4-6-3-13

Tap at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Color is almost black with small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Cold coffee, burnt malts and dryness. Not enjoyable.

(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20170525) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had metal, liquorice and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, metal and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A rather burnt brew, I’d say even too much.

Mild smell of ash. Dark colour, brown head. Aroma of ash, tar, licorice. Mildly bitter. Wild carbon.

Tap @ hbf 2017. Pitch black color, dense off white head. Roasted malt, chocolate, oat. Flavor has roasted malts, cocoa, chocolate. Quite thin overall.

Bottle at Pub Winston. Opaque black color, good brownish head, lace. Toasted, coffeish aroma. Light-bodied. Smooth palate. Roasted flavor, some hops. Clean and balanced "low alco" porter. So far the best brew from this brewery.
