Bottle shared at Chriso’s and Ruth pre GBBF shindig. 02/08/2017. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting a fine tan head. Aroma is sweet, jammy fruits, raspberry ripple, woody. Flavour is composed of tangy, tart berry, raspberry, woody, airy, little oxidised, liquorice, dark choc. Tangy berry. Palate is medium sweet, creamy, moderate carbonation, ok.

Aroma has burnt malt, salty licorice and soy sauce. Flavour has salty licorice, herbal tones, some well roasted malt and toffee. Also some diacetyl tones. Not that nice.

750ml bottle. Bottle 2/4 (or 214?-). Pours pitch black with a tiny head. Aroma of roasty malts, ash, slightly burnt notes, licorice, dark chocolate and coffee. Taste is smooth, sweet and burnt malty with some roastiness, licorice, dark chocolate and mocha. Finish is earthy, roasty and burnt with hints of ash and licorice. A bit unbalanced.
