Tangle is our Engima hopped Double India Pale Ale. Enigma is among the most truly distinctive hop varieties we’ve encountered from Australia and beyond - you can attempt to attach descriptors to it (raspberry, white wine) but ultimately it’s very much its own thing. That’s at once exciting and challenging but we feel we’ve honed in on nice blend to both balance and buttress the showcase hop.

On tap at Bayberry, pours an opaque cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh piney hops, with stone fruits, and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with stone fruits, piney and dank hops, and lots of pith. Wonderfully dank, piney hops dominate the palate. Excellent.

16 oz. Draft at Five Horses Tavern. Great grassy and citrus nose, Wow bright hops! Flavor is mild earthy grass with mild fruit and pine notes. Juicy character. Bitterness moderate, light lingering. Nice Co2 and mouthfeel. Went down very easy with mild bitterness.
