On tap at Strange Brew, Manchester NH. Appearance is very dark brown, no discernible sparkle, small off-white head with great retention and spotty lacing. Aroma is spot on coffee cake. Taste is coffee cake just as aroma. Palate is medium bodied with soft-to-average carbonation, thick, frothy texture, and a mild, earthy bitterness at the end. Overall, the brewer really nailed coffee cake with solid flavors without going over the top. Enjoyable.

Poured from can thanks Airforcehops black brown pour with a nice cocoa head. Aromas of chocolate cinnamon coffee and light roast. Taste is creamy coffee light cinnamon which is nice and doesn't overpower. Roast is balanced and is not bitter.

16 oz. can. Appearance is a near black / dark brown, some lasting bubbly head. Aroma is cinnamon, weak coffee, baking powder.

Flavor follows nose and thankful that the Brewer did go crazy on the cinnamon. Notes of coffee caramelize sugar. Body and texture are proper. Comes off a tad sweet but pretty decent overall.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a dark brown color with a good structured eggshell white foamy head. Dissipated at a good pace. Some light ringy lace.
The aroma had some sweet to roasty coffee beans up front with a touch of cream/slightly like vanilla. Then some cinnamon and a touch of toffee with a little bit of graham cracker starting to come out over some slight chocolate tones.
The flavor blends emphatically the sweet to the ample spices perfecting a rich yet low riding spiciness in the aftertaste and flowing into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fair sessionable to sipping quality about it. Spices seem to restrain some sessionability. Good carbonation and the ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, very nicely done as semi-spiced porter, well worth my time and money.

Bottle from Candia Rd Dark brown/black with a decent sized tightly bubbled off white head. Aromas of cinnamon, coffee, vanilla light roasty chocolate. Flavor is lightly creamed coffee cinnamon and vanilla. Tasty beer, but I don’t think they nailed the coffee cake flavor exactly. Seems like it needs some brown sugary sweetness to make it more desert like.
