Taster pour at the brewery. Appearance is clear dark brown with no sparkle, thin ring of off-white head. Aroma is strong roasted malt, mildly smoky, caramel, perhaps sweet potato but that's maybe because I know to look for it. Taste follows the aroma. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, smoky roasted, wouldn't know sweet potato there, really. Knowing it's there you can find it 3.8

16 oz. can. Canned on 10-27-17. Deep ruby/ near brown color, fast dying head, little retention. Aroma is roasted nuts, slight chocolate, earthy grain. Flavor is of an average brown ale. Not exactly sure where the sweet potato was supposed to fit in. If the earthy hint counts as "sweet potato", then... Ok. Not a bad beer just false advertising.
