Sorachi can be a tricky mistress, and many shy away from it. But not team Wylam, our stoic Geordies laugh in the face of sorachi! Dill, actual dill on the nose, along with lemongrass and some spice. A mildly creamy mouthfeel with some slight sweetness from the malt and more of that good herbaceous coriander and lemon action. Yes please!

330ml bottle. Hazy, orangey, dark amber colour with average to huge, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Typical Sorachi aroma, notes of coconut, a touch of bamboo, some mint. Taste is herbal and minimally fruity hoppy, notes of coconut, hints of mint, a touch of lychee and bamboo, a diluted touch of wasabi, minimally sweet, caramel malty basis. Minimally overcarbonated. Good.

Peach at the back. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture. The finish is crunchy and dry. Overall - challenging but complex.

Bottle purchased from Honest Brew. A hazy orange coloured pour with a healthy white head on top. Typical sorachi, lemon grass aroma. Tastes of sorachi, citrus, lemon, slight coconut. Not a bad effort but I found this quite bitter, would have preferred a little more sweetness.

Old transferred rating. Clear notes of dill from the Sorachi Ace. Ok pale ale but it’s to much dill for me

Bottled 330ml (AbM)
Hazy amber color, small off-white head. Coriander and lots of dill in the nose. Light-bodied. Citrus, coriander and then Sorachi Ace dill overdose. SA lover’s paradise. Otherwise just ok.
