12 ounce can from Craft Beer Cellar in Waterbury, VT. Amber orange por is topped by a creamy beige head. Subtle toasted malt aroma. Flavor is lightly sweet, with notes of caramel, dried fruit and spicy hops. A hint of nuttiness in finish.

Pours deep Amber into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes to nothing. Caramel and vanilla aromas. Sweet caramel upfront turning to mildly bitter earth in the medium length finish.

This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a semi-hazy bronzed to ruddy golden brown color with a light transparency about it. Light carbonation rises nicely to fill a one finger white foamy head that dissipated eloquently (softly) leaving a fine running lace combing the sides of the glass.
The smell had a really nice sweet to roasty nutty / semi-caramel flavor melding together.
The taste copied the smell nicely with a superb caramel malty sweetness. There’s a slight lingering nutty aftertaste. There’s a quick dry sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. Its fairly sessionable copying a nice sweetness laying down on my tongue. It somewhat has a dry feel to it.
Overall, its a good Oktoberfest for the most part. I could have this again.
