Sample at the brewpub. Cloudy ruddy orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lace. Malt, fruit and hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, mild hops and fruit. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

From notes...taster at the source pours burnt orange with a white head. Aroma is caramel malt dark fruit with light floral notes. Taste follows aroma with a mildly bitter finish.

Pours a nasty biological orange brown into a shaker. White head with excellent retention recedes leaving scant sheets to coat surface. Caramel and date aromas. Medium bodied with candy corn and dark caramel upfront turning to mildly bitter, dry earth in the medium length finish.

16 oz. draft at the brewery. Mild aroma of caramel malt with light hops and traces of yeast. Has a fruity hint. Hits the mouth with a lighter side of medium body, malt bill has a firm presence. Everything about this brew is a traditional ESB. Not sure what the New England spin on the name is all about. No evolved hop profile at all. Uh?
