This Brown Porter has mild roastiness with chocolatey qualities. Ink Depths also has some non-roasted malt character in support (caramelly, grainy, bready, nutty and toffee-like).

Taster pour at the brewery. Appearance is black with no discernible sparkle, thin ring of beige, foamy head with good retention and no lacing. Aroma is fairly weak roasted malts. Taste is nice sweet over bitter roasted malts, cocoa, vanilla. Palate is medium-to-full bodied, smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, my favorite beer of the day--good flavor.

64 oz. growler thanks to Willrunforbeer, thanks much! Fast vanishing head in a shifter. Aroma is molasses, light barley and moderate roast.

Lighter - medium in body with a soft carbonation level. The flavor is baseline for the style with some mild lingering roast, chocolate, maybe molasses. Notes of caramel candy. Drinkable and enjoyable.
