22 oz. bottle in a trade with johnnnniee. Dated 2/8/17. Dark muddy brown color with minimal off white head. Aroma is yeast, sweet over-ripe fruits, bubblegum, toffee. Flavor of raisins, bubblegum, toffee, and apples. (Not apple brandy) The full body, has a thick syrupy texture, with a sweet finish. The alcohol is mostly hidden.

Stand alone the base is pretty good. The problem is here you never would’ve guessed it was aged in apple brandy barrels. The apple nuances might come from it but really weak. Was expecting a lot more.

Thanks Jake.
Bottle to chalice, the appearance was a semi-dark red color with a two finger white foamy head that dissipated at a decent pace. Subtle sticky messy lace.
The aroma had some dark fruits up front over a clove/pepper sort of blend playing with some red delicious apple to oakiness.
The flavor leans to the sweet side with a touch of some vinous/woody taste. Just a tickle of oak/apple/slight booziness slides into the aftertaste and finish
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt as projected with some booziness noticed.
Overall, really nice sipping quad that I wouldn’t mind coming back to.

Bottle from the Brewery. Deep copper with ruby at the edges and a huge khaki head that persists. Raisin prune plum and light clove and pepper with lots of dark caramel maltiness and just the faintest of apple and oak. Light sherry oxidation shows through a bit in the flavor. The barrel treatment is quite subtle or it mixes well into the quad flavors, nice sipper.
