Tap at Malted Barley, Westerly. Color is dark brown with small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Chocolate, coffee, some vanilla and roasted malts. Quite strong coffee and could be softer.

EBF 2018: black with beige head. Aroma is vanilla, tobacco and chocolate. Taste is bitter and much the same as the aroma. Vanilla was strangely subdued.

[2/4/17] Draught/Bottle at Extreme Beer Fest in Boston. Dark brown. Vanilla, coffee, chocolate, roast, sweetish, medium-bodied.

Sampled @ Extreme Beer Fest, 4 Feb, 17. Deep black color. Aroma is almost only vanilla.

The flavor has a lot of vanilla through the center with a mild espresso bean finish. Body is correct for a standard base porter. Light creamy texture.
