Tap at Ginger Man, Boston. Colour is clear brown with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Chocolate, bread, dryness, some coffee and roasted malts. Some hints of smoke too. Pretty good clean dark lager.

On tap at the source. Dark black creamy off white head that persists. Rich milk chocolate with bits of caramel and light earthy and a touch of vanilla and light fruit. Pretty clean and tasty Schwartz.

Draft at the source. Black color, ruby highlight, white head. Aroma has dark chocolate, charcoal ash, Mild coffee grounds. Flavor is pretty well true to style and completely correct to the style. Lighter body, ample roast, and smoky (char) dryness for the texture. The roast is stronger than the smoke with a very light bitterness for balance. The brewers at Tributary yet again make another spot on representation of the style. Lovely.
