Taster pour at the brewery. Appearance is clear, dark brown (root beer look), mild sparkle, thin ring of beige head with no lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee. Taste is roasted malts (almost burnt, but not in a bad way), caramel. Palate is medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, not too much complexity, but flavorful and good.

500 ml bottle spilt by Brian, thanks Willrun. Bottle date of 12/16/2015. Deep ruby / brown color, thin head in a snifter. Aroma shows light scotch traces, mild chocolate, English yeast and a very mellow alcohol.
< br> The flavor shows the very mild traces of dark fruit. Caramel mixed with chocolate. Smashed, milled grains. Mouthfeel has a low carbonation level with a light smoothness across the tongue. Decent

Pours deep mahogany into an English pint. Tan head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Sour caramel and fig aromas. Soft with caramel covered pit fruit, fig and date upfront turning to dough and mildy bitter earth in the lasting finish.
