To me, a Hefe should be a medium yellow with a good bit of cloudiness. This was a thin yellow and very clear. It should also boast a tall, long lasting head and this one had a small head that disappeared almost immediately. Decaying citrus aroma that moves towards some clove. Dry finish to a thin, watery disappointing start. Very thin bodied for a Hefe.

Bottle from Rayβs Liquor in Chico. Aroma is light banana, light spice, light noble hop, light pale malt. Slightly hazy light gold color with a white head that didnβt wholly arrive. Thinnish in body with fizzy carbonation. Flavor is banana, wheat, followed by lemon notes that just come out of nowhere. The finish is dry, slightly citric, with some wheatishness. Crisp and refreshing.
