A golden lager with a thick white head. A lightly malty aroma with light ginger notes. In mouth, an oily malt with light ginger notes, malt liquor like. Boring. On tap at brewpub, August 27 2009.

Draft at the brewpub. Aroma of caramel malt and something spicey. Nice amber color with a very decent white head. Thin to medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor? It’s got ginger. Zingy! Completely hides the noble hop (got a sample of the Helles, which the barstaffer said was the same recipe, except for the ginger and that had hop). Seems the ginger darkens the color a bit, and it certainly adds Zing! The finish is pretty dry, and the ginger hangs on. Maybe a little hop finally is detectable. Great refresher.
