Taster at the source. Golden amber color with full lasting head with legs of lacing. Aroma shows plenty of the dry hopping from German hops.
Taste is initially lightly bitter. Soft pillow of crystal malt behind the hops, giving a light biscuity malt backbone. Hop flavor seems a more pine than anything else. Very mild tones of cantaloupe melon balls and sesame seeds.
Overall, this style is a staple that every brewery / brew pub needs to have in their lineup. The thing I like most about this APA is the crispness in texture that ends with a moderate bitterness.

Growler from the Source. Mostly clear deep golden color with a smallish off white head that shows moderate retention. Bready maltiness with a hint of caramel. Light earth and pine aroma with more of an earthy peppery hop flavor. Moderate lingering hop bitterness. Decent enough pale ale if not a touch on the bitter and spicy side.
