Reviewed from notes.
Treated as an imperial style of this given the ABV, I poured this into a tulip.
The appearance was a semi-muddy orange almost amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell at a nice pace. Some light lace.
The aroma had some spice up front (cinnamon and nutmeg) with a semi-soft sweet pumpkin fleshiness coming into balance.
The flavor seemed to be the same way with a light toast/slightly like smoke in the background. There’s no aftertaste but a nicely blended spice to sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation and the ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, nicely done imperial pumpkin ale that I could come back to.

OK, this year’s batch is here! On tap at the pub. Some pumpkin flavors in there fer sure. Alky is quite apparent. Difficult medicine as the session continues. At times, I think I’m catching a little buzz near the end. Quite strong for a punky beer but isn’t that the trend now with these kind of brews?

Bottle purchased at Hampton Falls Village Market. Orange colored brew with thin lasting white head. Aroma is nutmeg, Cinnamon, and toffee.

The flavor is caramel, toasted grain, nutmeg and some cinnamon in the finish. The body is leaning on thin and watery. Flavor seems to be more spice rather then pumpkin. Could use a light hop character because I get none at all. The flavor is ok but some more body would really do this brew wonders. Still real serviceable.

Bottle from Bert’s Pours a slightly hazy deep golden color with orange highlights and a smallish off white head that quickly falls to a cap. Smells of caramel, brown sugar, nutmeg, and pie spice. Little to no hop aroma. The flavor is heavy on the spices backed by a sugary caramel base. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. Decent enough beer, not as bad as some of the other pumpkins I’ve had.
