Good sized draft sample at the Granite State Brewfest yesterday. Cloudy sweet with a hint of oxidized hops. Bitter resinous decent but the recipe needs some tweaking.

4 oz mini snifter tried at the source. Deep amber with retention even in the sample. Aroma is mostly sweet malts, toffee, caramel, sweet fruits and marmalade.

Flavor is on the sweet side with the malts taking over the hop profile. Caramel and toffee give a lasting sweetness with hints of grapefruit, light floral notes and plenty of sugar. The ABV is covered real nice and I never would have guessed it is over 9%. Has a light chewy, yeasty body. The texture is lightly juicy with plenty of sweet toffee and sugar in the finish. If you enjoy sweet DIPA’s this a brew you will be able to drink a good quantity of.
