Good sized draft sample at the Granite State Brewfest yesterday. Solid black color huge head. Roasty chocolate sweet with an earthy edge, Fantastic porter, I told everyone who asked to go get a sample of this brew.

Sample at Lone Wolfe in a 4 oz mini snifter. Dark brown color with a black center, off white head. Aroma is a nice level of roasted malt, ash and earthy coffee hints.
Nice flavor of earthy malt, bitter chocolate upfront with a light bitter note to balance the level of roasted malts. The roasted malt lingers pleasantly after the sip. Ashy texture with a average body for the style. Hop character is here but only for balance, true to the style, solid backbone of deep malts. Highly drinkable and my favorite sample from the pub on this trip, this brew makes me want to return. Good stuff.
